For this normally independent traveller, two weeks by private train in Sri Lanka as part of a group of 0ver-50's turned out to be one of my best travel experiences ever!

My first trip to Japan certainly won’t be my last! All my ‘spirit animals’ in one place - it’s staggeringly clean, the nature and scenery is stunning, the cities vibrant and bustling with life, its wonderful people are respectful, polite and gorgeously funny and the loos are to die for!
